It all started back in 1996 with the model T8 OTL.  Then came the T16, the Beast, the Son of Beast, the Pinacle, and now the Beast Jr.  With each new model, improvements were made along the way.  For over 25 years, Transcendent Sound has embarked upon a journey of discovery to develop the best sounding, highest performing amplifiers possible.  There are no absolutes.  There are no immutable rules.  There is only progress.

In the Beast Jr., the circuitry has been refined, and greatly simplified.  This reduces the parts count, reduces cost, and makes the amp much easier to build without reducing perfomance.  In fact, sound quality has been improved as there are fewer parts and stages for the sound to go through.

The driver stages are fully differential and have been reduced to only two.   The separate high voltage power supply has been eliminated.  By going to monoblocks, the chassis is much less congested.  All of the improvements made in the preceding models have been incorporated and added to.  It is doubtful that any more major improvements will be possible.  Of course, there are always tweaks to any design, but the configuration used in the Beast Jr. is approaching that which no further major improvements are possible.

The Beast Jr. is dead quiet.  Noise has been dropped down to 40 microvolts A weighted.  The sound is crystal clear with all the subtle nuance that OTL's are capable of.

Need Less Power?  Then Use Half the Tubes for 22W into 16 ohms and 15 watts into 8 ohms.

For most people, 15W of OTL power is plenty.  This cuts the heat way down and saves on tube costs.  By having an oversize power supply driving only four tubes, the sound has more body and slam than a stereo configuration.  Monoblocks also allow the user to mount each amp near the loudspeaker which many find highly desirable.

So if you have been waiting for the ultimate push-pull OTL with lots of power, your wait is over.
